My name is John Rotondi. Since 1977, I have been working as a staff Sound Engineer at some of this country's top Audio Recording and Post-Production facilities. More importantly, I have been most fortunate to have worked with, and learned my craft from, some of the finest recording engineers and sound technicians of our time. This experience has given me a wide-ranging background in all facets of high-end Music Recording and Sound-For-Picture Post Production. After completing the renovation of the classic Fox Music Scoring Stage as a Staff Engineer for 20th Century Fox (see: www.bauton.com), I was independent for a time. This allowed me to serve a wide range of Clientele. I am now on staff at Ascent Media's Todd-AO Hollywood facility, where I can utilize my wide range of skills for a true high-end feature post facility that really cares about the sound quality of the film. While I have little time for outside work, I may, from time to time, make myself available for interesting projects.

There are several positive aspects that I bring to any project I work on:
1) Effective Communications
2) Wide knowledge base- from both a technical and operational standpoint
3) Experience in the trenches on the day-to-day firing line
4) Desire for all experiences to manifest in a WIN-WIN situation

My strengths to effectively enhance your project lie in these two areas:
1) AS A PROBLEM SOLVER: I don't have all the answers, but I do ask all the questions! If I can't find the answers myself, I have the Resources and Contacts to obtain the answers. The key is in ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS!
2) AS A CATALYST: I enjoy working with other professionals. I motivate the other members of a project to work to their highest potentials by ALLOWING THEM TO DO WHAT THEY DO BEST. I don't work in a vacuum- I seek the input of others. This allows me to find the best solutions, and gives others an opportunity to contribute to the project's positive outcome. I give guidance or offer alternatives to other team members in a pro-active and positive manner. I'm never out to prove anything to anyone- my motivation is to manifest the outcome in a positive and constructive manner. I find that others respond to this by having the freedom to express themselves more creatively. This team effort enhances the end result.
